Surely the professionals will mkae light work of it?

Djetset

The easier part first.  The chassis is a Bentley Mark IV.  Now the trickier part.  Is it a J Guerney Nutting body?

Bentley mk vi by Hooper , c. '50 ?

bentleybob

Bentley Mark VI, yes, but not by Hooper.

woodinsight

Unlikely I know but could the coachwork have been by Reading?

bentleybob

Not by Vincents of Reading, (to whom you are probably referring to...)

Before I do some additional research on this one I'll have another guess at Lancefield......

bentleybob

I thought they were gone by then, but no, alas..

Djetset

Mulliners (Birmingham) Ltd (as opposed to H. J. Mulliner), as they made some pretty dumpy bodies.

Lancefield were still exhibiting at Earl's Court in 1948.....
Perhaps this is the Bentley Mk VI that was bodied by Robert (Ronald?) Kent Coachbuilders?

bentleybob

That's it, well done, a one off, obviously based on the Standard Saloon
