For one point: identify the car (easy) along with the venue, the year, and the name of the young lady seated on the car.

The car appears to be a 1959 Studebaker Hawk and it may be in either a motor show or in a Studebaker showroom, as there's a 1959 Lark in the background. Who the pretty girl is, I sadly have no idea.

I have just worked out that she must be nearly 70 now. That makes me sad. Time goes so quickly. :( :(

Right year and car. Wrong venue, and we still need "Lily's" name.   ;)

Is she 1959 Miss Indiana supporting the on-going Studebaker Indiana affiliation?

Not Miss Indiana. Right year, and you have craftily discovered the Studebaker!

It's the Kansas City Auto Show of 1959, and the Show Queen is Shirley Lorton, perched on a Studebaker Silver Hawk.

Sadly, pretty little Shirley Lorton has already passed away.  :'( She was born in Toledo (about 50 miles from Kansas City), 5th May, 1943 and died, aged just 69 (I wasn't far off judging her age, was I?) on August 1, 2012. She worked for Chrysler for 32 years. (Info: Toledo Blade)

RIP Shirley.

Toledo is about 700 miles from KC.  :)
