you should have an option on the screen that says 'move topic' - select that and then move to the solved folder (changing the topic title so that people know what it is)
Giving someone a point there is an [add] [subtract] under their user name so click on the [add] to give them a point.

And Bill - you need to change the title so that it will be picked up by anyone searching (just click the 'Modify' button in your initial post with the picture and there you can change the Subject)!
