Although this make has been posted before, this particular example is sufficiently different to warrant another puzzle. For one point name the make, what it was based on and the year.

This is a Zelensis Roadster. It was build in Belgium by Raoul Thiebaut between 1958 and 1964. He made about 20: there al based on an Beetle floorpan and they're al different. I spoke to the owner (or his son, I don't remember) a couple of years ago at a local carshow in Belgium ...

Yes that's correct.
I have the completion date as 1963 and as you say they are all different.......

The first 2 pictures are the prototype ; one as it was in 1958 (with a removable hardtop) and the other as it was last seen.
The 3th and 4th pictures are from a white example that was restored and now resides in Belgium with the owner (the man next to it is Raoul Thiebaut).
The last picture is the roadster from the puzzle and also resides in Belgium.
There was also a Zelensis spotted in France and one in Zweden, but no one knows where the rest is ...
