Identify the make, model and the year it appeared for a point.
I don't know the coachbuilder and if that can be positively identified it will be worth an extra point.

Not a straight-six and you are a few years out with the date.
I'll keep it LOCKED for you but just for one more try......
I'm out

Are you sure?
Up the engine size and drop back 4 or 5 years and you should get it.....
1949 Lagonda V-12. I know a lot of purists will say there's no such thing, but this chassis was delivered to the Swiss coach builder Hermann Graber in 1939, but supposedly not completed by them. I believe there is some question as to the eventual 1949 body builder . . . It has the look of a Graber body of the period, but also resembles some Tickford bodies of the same era. In any case, it's a beautiful car and very nicely restored by it's current owner.
*&(*&^. I didn't see UNLOCKED. Oh well. :)
I didn't really unlock it 'per se' but was just really giving billtorrance9999 a chance to quickly come back with another answer.
Apologies for any confusion sixtee5cuda.

Yes it's a V-12 Lagonda - chassis 1939 and bodied 1949.
Whether it's by Graber, Tickford or another coachbuilder I don't know and I believe the owner is also trying to find out.
Well done. It looks like a Graber to me, and in any case most of the Tickford work around that time was to Graber designs
I tend to agree. If I had to place a wager, I'd say Graber. Woodinsight mentioned that the current owner is trying to positively identify the coachbuilder - I always thought Graber bodies were pretty well marked or at least documented. Oh well - I'm sure he's had it looked over pretty well, seeing as he had it restored.
I wanted to post a better view of the car but my re-sizing technique is not working at the moment.
Here's another (oversized) image of the car -
Thanks - now we can see it in a better light.... :)
