Not really a repost (it was in one of my group puzzles in a different format) therefore a point awaits anyone who can identify this car, what it was based on and the year it was built.

mekubb

Stanguellini-Fiat ?

All i know is that car is from 1951 built by someone called Lucien Barthe

mekubb

It is a Gordini based on a Simca 8. Year is 1951 and it was built for Lucien Barthe from Bordeaux.

That's correct.
I believe Lucien Barthe was the Simca agent in Bordeaux.
Bad luck mekubb, frederick59 just beat you to it....

Here's another view of this car -

May be I am mistaken but why is it bad luck for me ? My colleague Frederick didn't mention that it was a Gordini (the rest of his info was good though) and it was not locked for him.... So 1 point for me as well ?

As far as I'm aware there is no Gordini connection with this car.
If you can prove this is a Gordini I'll give you a point as well - fair enough?

mekubb

Fair enough ! I have found it as a Gordini based upon Simca 8, but now I have seen that it is also referred to as a Simca 8 on several sites. So may be only Lucien Barth can tell us what is true...

Okay, glad you accept that but if I do find more detailed information I'll post it here.
