It is indeed a Trident 3-wheeler.
Don't know what they were usually based on but this particular one is not Citroen-based.
Strictly speaking you have identified it, which is what I asked for, but let's see if you can tell me what powers it for an extra point!  Locked for you (do I really need to lock a puzzle in the Black Hole?!)

Close enough for the point I think as the owner said Metro but the drivetrain is the same.
