What's this car, who built it and when - for 1 point.

Google Image Search continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Image Search as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

Bugatti Ghia Aigle T 57 chassis?

Yes, that is indeed the car.
For the point though I still need to know when it was built - also when the car on which it is based was built (it's quite different!)

1937 - 1951

That'll do.
Understand the base car was built in 1937 and rebodied by Ghia-Aigle in 1952.
Well done.

You will be awarded a point, when you specify the make, model, and coachbuilder of this coupe.

Time for the experts to give it a try.

Up!

(In spite of the Valiant symbol, this car has no connection to Plymouth)

Bugatti!  Is a lock necessary?

bentleybob

57 by Ghia for Geneva Motor Show 1952, so second body

LOCKED for BentleyBob

Ghia of Italy?

bentleybob

I think it may be Ghia Aigle of Switzerland, though they worked in close operation with their Italian counterparts.
