What's this and who's it by, for 1 point?

Google Image Search continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.

This is only 1 of a series of 11 sketches sent by Lowey from his Paris studio leading up to the Studebaker Avanti.

Yes it is.
It's actually study no. 2 but we won't nit-pick!   
Do check your spelling of Loewy though - he was French originally...

Thank you for the point and my dyslexia always seems to kick in when I write his name ... I know how to spell it and yet I make the same mistake repeatedly ..... Loewy NOT Lowey, Loewy NOT Lowey ... some day ......................
