Title: Solved - NEH 1642: 1935 Ford V8-engined Batten Special

What is this car and what is it based on, for 1 point?

Google Image Search continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Image Search as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

Yes, it is a Batten Special.
But it's not the same car you have pictured; that one is a little later.
So, locked for you to tell me what the car is based on (you have the engine already, a 3622cc Ford V8) and when it was built?

1935 Batten Special by Beckenham on Ford Model Y chassis with a Ford V8 of 3.622 cc at 100 HP, apparently enabling 190 Km/h  :P. Below another more formal one of the same era..

That's the one!
Yes, I think 190 km/h is rather wishful thinking with those aerodynamics..
It's probably what it works out the car should do on paper rather than in the real world!

I remember driving a SS100 2 1/2 litre which started to jump all over the road at 75mph, and I quite agree 190 kph is neither her nor there..
