I swear this is a duplicate, but I can't find it.  1949 Veritas Meteor at the Sachsenring?

It is a repost of a quite recent puzzle of mine.
I'll see if I can find it..

OK, found it (it's from earlier this year) and topics merged.

This is really strange, my source doesn't mention it as a AFM and with a different driver as well. But picture is the same... That's why I couldn't find it in the search section. So who is right ?

Would this be considered an 'Eigenbau'?

No!

In fact, from what I know, it IS an 'eigenbau'. Bechem bought the remains of a crashed AFM single seater in which Karl Gommann was killed and built this sportscar upon them, so it's not a 'works' AFM car, but a special based on one.

Above is what seems to have been the definitive answer last time around..
Maybe it's time I changed the title!
