Identify this car and from when it dates, for 1 point:

Google Search by Image continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Search by Image as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

That looks like it comes from the Fiat/Lancia families.

It does and it doesn't!
(In other words - no Fiat or Lancia connection)

This is a Monteverdi Macho, it was showed on the 1983 car show in Turin, as a production-ready model. It was going to be powered by a turbocharged 2.8 V6 from Ford, but at the last moment, it didn't make it ...

I've only got this picture, but I would love to see some other pictures ...

Indeed it is.
I've never seen any other picture than this and don't think there are any others on the 'net.

Possibly.
Looks a bit like a blown-up early Seat Ibiza to me (Giugiaro).
Also looks a bit like 1970s/80s Ford Granada too, on which it is based. Ghia?

I'm pretty sure we had that car with a different name before, but I have to admit that I didn't know that it was originally called "Macho".

I was wrong, it's the four door version of this one: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=12073.0

I thought that front-end looked familiar.
And I think the picture of the red one you posted in that thread is in fact this same car; not only was it pointed out it had 4 doors as opposed to the puzzle car which only had 2, if you look very closely at the front plate it reads "Macho"!

This car was showed on the 1980 car show in Turin, not 1983.

Apparently, there was a 2-door hatchback and a 4-door hatchback Monteverdi Macho.  The 2-door may have carried the name "Monteverdi Macho 2.8 V6", or "Monteverdi Turbo Coupe".

Here are a couple of images of the 2-door hatchback:

Yes, the 4-door car was a development of the 2-door car, but only the 4-door saloon was named Macho; as you say, the 2-door coupé was called the Monteverdi 2.8 Turbo.
It's quite possible they are in fact the same car which was rebuilt into a 4-door; only the 2.8 Turbo is listed in the Monteverdi Technical Specifications section of the Monteverdi book although there are pictures of both cars. That would point to it being the same car.
