That is the car! A beauty; I wonder if it survived?
But - I have it as from a different year, so the puzzle is locked for you to see if you can come up with the year I have, which I believe to be correct.
This is probably the picture on the site where you got that (incorrect) 1957 date from!:
It seems that your picture is from the same website as the one I found it on. The timeline shows 1955 as the right year, but opening the picture it says indeed 1957 strange enough. Anyway, the year must be 1955
Correct!
1 more point for you.
The Frua coupe was a slightly modified Dubois coupe which can be seen as #8 in here: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=14731.0
Actually I believe this car was a 403 dating from 1956, not a 203, so I'll change the title - unless anyone knows better?
No, 203 is correct. The Dubois coupe was built in 1952/53 by Sodisto, a Peugeot dealer in Argenteuil. All 17 cars had a Frua body on a Nardi chassis, the mechanical base was the Peugeot 203 Constantin. The last cars were remodeled by Frua with an oval radiator grille, front bumpers and a panoramic rear window, like the puzzle car. Attached you can see the full puzzle picture with the text referring to the car as a 203!
Yes, I believe you're right. I was going by the Alberto Fornai book in which he describes it as "1956 Carrozzeria Frua Coupé su Peugeot 403".
In the Libreria Automotoclub Storico Italiana book "Pietro Frua Maestro Designer" it's described as "Nardi Peugeot 203 coupé speciale".
So I'll change it back and perhaps add "Nardi".
