The 24 hours lock is technically up but I'll give you until 1000 hrs tomorrow Central European Time since you're new here and are probablly not familiar with the way it works..

If you're having problems posting in the Rookies section (though I can't imagine why) I'll extend the lock for you a little longer. Let's say 1500 hrs today CET.
Seems Bizzarrini Rosso doesn't want this one, so it's open to all again..
I'm still wondering what the big red car has to do with the little blue car. :P

Beats me! Very curious post...
As you say "red car" is NOT MY problem. This is a mistake of website and please do not make premature statements.
I am sure that this Manta Ray, period.
Carnut ,you can lock my topic as you want of time.
Sorry Bizzarrini Rosso, don't understand you.
So you mean you didn't post that red car?
Did it post itself?
There's nothing wrong with the website although we all do make mistakes on it from time to time.
Sorry but this puzzle is not a Manta Ray, although I can see why you think it is. It's obviously related.
As for your comment about the lock, I regret I don't understand you. You may be referring to your puzzle in the Experts section, which I've locked until such time as you are entitled to post puzzles; I'm sure that won't be long. But I don't need your permission to do this!

Hey - this is supposed to be a fun site. So, turn that frown upside down, mister!
I can not explain where did the red car. In a previous report, I wrote that I could not put the puzzle in Rookie permitted for me because I do not know how to use. Now I only see two buttons: Mark Read and Notify ... I had to try to place in Rookie and you see what happens. I can not understand why it was in your topic.
Blue Ray III

Blue Ray III
I knew you'd get there in the end..! It is of course a pastiche of the Nardi Blue Ray, based on a Mazda MX5 Miata (or a Mazda 929 apparently!).
I've removed that interloping red car from your post. I have no idea how it got there but it was out of place and irrelevant so it's gone now.
1 more point for you and here are some more pics:
This is the best Miata-based car I've seen I think! (assuming you mean MX5 not MX3)
The Blue Ray III is based on a pre-production Mazda 929, not an MX5 or MX3.
Considering that the car was first shown in 1992, I'm surprised I haven't seen it before. I have seen Mr. Simpson at car shows and on the Whidbey Island ferry, but this puzzle is the first time I have heard of the Blue Ray III.
Made for two.
For one point, please respond and identify this car.
Italian?
No, though there is an Italian connection.
Italian coachbuilt then?
The design looks from the late 50s or maybe early 60s but the interior looks decades newer.

Follow that lead.
Not Italian-built, but only Italian-inspired?
Yes
Japanese base car?
Yes
Simpson Design Blue Ray 3, built in 1991 by Jim Simpson in collaboration with Doug Speer of Nardi USA and Nardi of Italy to celebrate 60 years of Nardi (1932-1992) and be displayed at the following year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Inspired by the 1955 Nardi Lancia Blue Ray 1 and based on a Mazda 929 pre-production model, V6, rear wheel drive, shortened chassis (#00022). Dashboard is custom made of steel and covered in leather but the plastic bits are mainly Mazda. Dayton rims and Officine Nardi steering wheel. The whole car was built in only 7 and a half months.
Another correct one.
