It's a Skoda but not that model.
I'll lock it for you for 24 hours to dig around and see if you can find the details.

Skoda 742 C Ortodox

That's the correct designation, yes (although haven't seen that word 'Ortodox' connected with it before..)
Just the last part of the question to answer for the point - from when does it date?

Actually I have it as 1977 but it's close enough and might be more right anyway...
An Italian buying Skodas when you have Alfas made there?  Blimey...
Although I do agree today's Skodas are absolutely first rate.

Here's some more detail from the site I got the picture off (Google translated in the main!):

QUOTE
Four-door, four-to five-seat sedan, front engine and rear wheel drive. In-line four-cylinder engine with OHV, volume 1174 cm ³, drilling and 72 mm stroke, 9.5 compression, power 43 kW (58 hp) at 5200 rev / min. Four-speed gearbox, weight about 900 kg, maximum speed of around 140 km / h
In the seventies, was built in collaboration with ÚVMV prototype car 742 series classic design with a front engine and rear wheel drive. The original engine was moved back under the front hood, front axle was moved due to evenly load the most forward and rear cargo area was created. The exact year of production unknown.
The side view shows how far forward the front axle is. It's from the book L & K Skoda Flight winged arrow, part 2, the authors P.Kožíšek and J.Králík, Motorpress Prague 1995

Alfas? the latest real Alfa was the 75: then Fiat..................
don't worry: Skodas are my wife's cars. I've a Mercedes C 200 K and my next personal car will be a real Italian masterpiece : an Alfa Romeo Alfetta!

Very nice; is that the GTV Coupé or saloon Alfetta?
I've had 6 Alfas and I loved them all including the latest one, a 156 between 2002/6!
