Kellison J5/J4?

It's a Kellison, yes.
Normally I would lock a puzzle when someone gets the name, but on this occasion I think the car is fairly obvious; what I really want for the point is the remaining part of the puzzle questions answered.  It's important for a puzzle like this to give a full answer to all the questions posed rather than just naming the car...

Kellison J4.
In 1963 Bob McNulty was dreaming about a Ferrari. But like most people, he couldn't afford the Italian car. Instead, he took a Kellison kit and built his own sports car...
Bob McNulty and his car won at the Oakland Roadster Show in 1963.
