The guy built it during many years, maybe that's why it's 'pretty nice' :)

That rear end is a mix between a Volvo and a Brazilian EMME...

Although technically a repost, this car no longer looks the same as it did originally, so here it is again.
What is it, where was it built and what powers it - for 1 point?:

It isn't a kit-car (and it's nothing to do with A-M either!)

1983-2002' ISV (Ivantsov Sergei Vladimirovich/Иванцов Сергей Владимирович) Coupe - homebuilt car from Chelyabinsk (Russia). Engine - VAZ 2106 "Lada". Max speed - 150 km/h.

Yes, not a bad looking car at all, apart from the miniaturised Ford Granada front grille..
I had it named "Samodelov" as well, powered by a BMW 3-series engine and sitting on a Lada Niva chassis...
Is that info incorrect then?

The car has actually featured before but the bodywork is substantially different now.

According to my sources, Sergei began to build this car in 1983, on the basis of the VAZ-2106 (engine, transmission).
In 2004, Sergey set engine BMW.
In 2003, the ISV won a prize as the most exotic car of the year at the "Auto Exotica 2003".
The name "Samodelov" I have never met.

'Samodelov' sounds like a form of the word 'samodel', which means 'self-made'. Say, 'один из самоделов' - 'one of the self-mades'.

Thanks.  Dzima's picture shows the car with its earlier (and better IMHO..) frontal appearance, same as it appears in the earlier puzzle featuring this car I believe.

And here's a picture of the rear-end of what I believed was the earlier car but maybe it's the later (current) version?
