João

Allemano, you were guessing the odd one out or the book with car number 38?

Ok, I think someone made a mistake.
It can be solved only with fairplay.
Allemano, if your guess was that book #29 is the one from which I did not take a pic, you are twice wrong, 1st because it's not, 2nd because that is a bonus point to be found at the final part of the puzzle...if you meant that João match was wrong and you gave the right book you can keep the point.
João, if your previous guess was just a typo and you meant book #29, the point will be yours if Allemano was guessing at the "left out" book.

Man, that' harder than expected!  :D

Picture #11 comes from book # 14. It's the Sautenet three-wheeler with JAP engine

SACO, read the rules in the 1st post of this puzzle, please!
Only 1 guess per day is allowed.

Once I'm convinced this works, I'll move my puzzle to the pro level.  ;D

I deleted his reply.

I was having a bit of fun with the entire concept, not poking fun at anybody. You are to be lauded for taking this concept to the big leagues, and keeping track of all of the twists and turns.

Thanks, it's a game, but sometimes looks like a challenge!  ;D

Ok, there's just one match left, the bonus point #1 (book left out) is available FOR ALL, without restriction.
Bonus point #2 (title of this puzzle) 24h after the last correct match.

I'll return to the classic puzzles, I swear!  ;D

Wendax

Since there is no restriction I have a 50 percent chance:

The left out book is #39.

I only have the first edition (1965) of this book where there is another picture of a very similar car, described as a Deutz-Bugatti Typ 8a from 1908. So it was an educated guess. You can find the very puzzle picture as part of a publicity of the Gasmotorenfabrik Deutz online, described as Deutz Bugatti without a year. I won't be able to have a look at the actual edition of the puzzle book before next Wednesday. So you can decide to unlock or not.

That wasn't hard, was it?  ;D

Now, you know the book and there's just one car left....

The car is a Deutz Bugatti Limousine by XXX, the year is not 1908.
It's locked for you to guess the coachbuilder (do not count the Xs) and the year.

Paul Jaray

READ CAREFULLY
You can all* guess at car 33 like a regular puzzle, now.

*All but Oguerrerob, Wendax (who can guess at the missing bits of car 18) and Jotage21...they will wait 24h from their last replies.

After I'll declare solved the last ID, then EVERYONE will have a go at the bonus point left.

The body was made by Utermöhle in Cologne, the year probably 1909.

Correct!
More educated than guess  ;D
Utermöhle was the nearest coachbuilder to Deutz and they had the solitary sales rights for the Deutz-Bugatti. Ettore Bugatti was at Deutz from 1907 to 1909, the production started in 1908, so 1909 wasn't too bad a guess.  ;)
