I thought it was the 1st one to be solved.
It is very good looking indeed.
It was born as a project, not for race and comes from the States.
The builder is not totally obscure...

Not a future famous designer, but a known name in his field...and given the type of car you post as puzzles sometimes, it should be a name you know.
