You're almost there. It was made by Chenard-Walcker, but it had a specific model name. Locked for you
The picture is from a unit of the second series of that vehicle with the rounded shape of the body, but isn't possible to recognize the engine mounted on it. If it has the original 2 cylinder single stroke Chenard-Walker engine the model is CHV but if it has installed the Peugeot 202 engine the model is CPV. When Peugeot become owner of the company it followed producing that "camionette" under its own label but the model was changed to D3.
The first series of the earlier '40 had different models CHE, CHT including an electric version under the label of Savel.
It is a "fourgon" powered by the Peugeot 202 engine, labelled as the CFP. You deserve your point!
Sorry to correct you. The Peugeot engine needed more space than the Chenard & Walcker unit. So you can easily identify the Peugeot engined vans by their protruding engine cover like those on the later Peugeot D3. Consequently the puzzle car must have been propelled by the Chenard & Walcker engine. On the other hand, all Type CFP ("fourgon boutique") were Peugeot-engined. Even Antoine Demetz, author of a very detailed Charge Utile article about these vans, is not sure whether this is a CFP prototype by Chenard & Walcker itself or a Type CHV modified by an unknown coachbuilder.
