My red car for the day, an impressive convertible.
For one point, please respond and identify this car.

up
1956 Grégoire Sport décapotable
Yes, it is. Well done, another point for you.
Is this the one that's in the Schlumpf Collection in France? If it is, I have pictures of it somewhere ...
I took the picture in 1995 at the former Musée de la Colline in Paris-La Défense where they had an exhibition about Grégoire's cars. Maybe the Grégoire Sport belonged to the Schlumpf collection and was lent to Paris, I don't know.
THere but a few left, including some coupés...
it shares the underpinnings with the Hotchkiss Grégoire but its Chapron bodywork is very specific. The first car crashed on its way to the ferry for new York and was extensively rebuilt in an extreme short period. These cars were very -too- expensive and the design didn't do much to the too short wheelbase and too large overhanging front and rear. Francoise SAgan drove one.
A frontal view and the unmodified puzzle picture:
I was at Schlumpf last Friday and can confirm this car is still there. I took some photos which I will attached when I get back home to grab my camera at the weekend.

:bump: ;)
Ah ha, if only I could find the SD card that I saved my Mulhouse photos on. It's in my house somewhere, but not sure where!
A few more
Thanks Otto. Do you know where they were taken?
