The picture below is dated back to 1935. No name was given in a description mentioning it as a new American car. The only idea I have that this could be a Stout Scarab (prototype maybe). Any other ideas, plase?

Looks pretty darned close to this early example, including the diagonal line in the rear 3/4 window.

What's this, by whom, from when?  For 1 point...

Google Image Search continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Image Search as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

That's what I have too, but it looks more modern than the better-known Stouts to me.
However, it dates from the late '30s so may well be his first.

I have the first Stout Scarab as being from 1932

Here's a rear view, gleaned incidentally from:

Seems this one is from 1935?

Here's an article from June 1935, so it is probably the date when the car was shown in public:

Heres an austrian February 1935 magazine clipping:

Here is an illustration from 1932, which looks akin to the puzzle pic, leading me to believe this puzzle should reflect that year ('32), as well.

Second pic is a period photo of a '35 Stout Scarab.
