For one point, please respond and identify this car.

God, I guess this one will be much more difficult for me !

I'm quite sure it's not french, is it ?  ;D

Wendax

It is not French, otherwise you would have known it, wouldn't you?  ;D

cmetisse

Hey, nothing's sure when it comes to microcars !  ;D

I still have for the 60's/70's two or three names for which I really don't have a clue nor a single picture...

Anyway, spanish ?

I'm not sure whether it was built in the USA, but it was marketed there by a company with an English spoken name.

Wendax

No, but following the same concept

cmetisse

So, was it a japanese microcar, like a Mitsuoka, built/sold under another name in USA ?

Wendax

I think so, because the car has Japanese components and the picture was taken in the US.
I only have a name and wasn't able to find additional information.

cmetisse

Maybe a Takeoka under another name...  ???

Wendax

I think the car is much older than Takeoka.

This is a Japanese micro from the 1980s called the Bona - or at least that's what the katakana symbols suggest in the brochure:

Wendax

Great! I didn't know about this one. That's obviously worth a point. Another one remains on offer for finding the name it was known as in the States.

It is Honda powered and has been referred to as a BUB, but the manufacturer, or rather the US Distributor was called ORANGECRATE

Wendax

Congratulations, Orangecrate is the name I was looking for. One point for you, microcars.

The pictured car was a "special" fire chief version, as you can see in the original picture.  :D
