This one was still missing here.
For one point, please respond and identify this car, the year it was built and the engine used.
up
1948 Faget-Varnet Wimille , engined by a 2.2 litre V8 Ford engine (from the Vedette). It was presented at the Mondial de l' Automobile in Paris that year and designed by Philippe Charbonneaux.
I saw this car (and the other Wimilles) in an Automobile Museum in Reims (France) a couple of years ago. There are a few interesting Charbonneaux designs in that museum and worth a visit when you're in the area ...
Yes, it is the second Wimille prototype from 1948, based on a Ford Vedette and bodied by Faget-Vernet. The first prototype from 1946 appeared here before: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=9022.0
One well-earned point for you.
I was in Reims last year, but didn't have the time for the museum. :sigh:

I've visited it twice now and the next time I go to Reims, I'll probably visit it again ;D The building may not look like much from the outside, but there are a few rare cars inside. Just Google it and you know what I mean!
Thanks for the point!
PS. There is a 3th prototype also ; don't know it that's been on Autopuzzles?
Together with the first Wimille aka JPW:
This puzzle car is in fact the third J. P. Wimille from 1950 with a different front than the 1948 car. I've changed the title.
