So it's a German car, and the picture was taken in Europe. I notice that the background has been obscured at the top left of the photo. Presumably there's something distinctive there.

Could the venue be AVUS in Berlin?

Very clever observation: the picture was made at the Avus and the obscured part is the characteristic gate building at the Avus.

To be completely honest, I was thinking about the famous round tower, which is a bit silly really, as it wouldn't have been built when this photo was taken. :-[

So not clever, more of a lucky guess for the wrong reason. :bag:
