This is the Bayer K´67. It is named after the world´s biggest chemical fair for plastic products, the "K".
This year at the K 2007 it was planned to show it at the Bayer stand to celebrate its 40th "birthday".

So as I´ve helped to realize this very fair stand I can confirm: this is the plastic bodied prototype Bayer K´67  ;D

BTW: It´s licence plate says LEV-K 67 (LEV = Leverkusen)

Correct again but this one was a re-post too so is merged.
I thought I'd seen it before but I had a different name:  Mobay
Don't know if it was intended to offer this as a kit-car under that name but if anyone else knows I'd be pleased to hear.

I had a 1969 2002 that I restored many years ago. Those tail lights will haunt me for many years to come.

The Bayer K-67 was intended to show the automotive industry the various possibilities to use any kind of plastic materials in their cars.

It should demonstrate also the versatility and economic efficiency of their chemical products.

As far as I know it has never been intended to be built in bigger numbers.

After its presentation at the Düsseldorf plastic products fair "K" in 1967 the car was handed over to the industry to let them test and see the new possibilities.
It went to Mercedes, Volkswagen, Ford Germany and Porsche - and if you have a look at our cars today, the plastic parts have multiflied tenfold or more...

From Wikipedia:
Mobay Chemical Corporation, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was a joint venture of Monsanto Company and Bayer to market polyurethanes in the United States. Founded in 1954, Bayer bought out Monsanto's shares in the company in the 1970s.
