I took this picture at a local car show.
For one point, provide the year, make, model, and Designer of this unusual car
This appears to be the 1956 Lancia Blue Ray 2. Michelotti is credited with design.
Bad news for Zerk. With this point, you are no longer a rookie!
You are correct in all the information provided.
The car is sometimes referred to as a Lancia-Nardi or Nardi-Lancia, and was constructed by Vignale. Year of construction is either 1956 or 1958.
Previously owned by Mr. Simpson, the nicest car manufacturer from Whidbey Island, that you will ever meet.

Promoted! :cheer:
Here are some more revealing pics:
Thanks for a great puzzle sixtee5cuda, it really is a pretty and unconventional car...one made even more memorable to me for being my "Expert" point.
Thanks also to Otto Puzzell! I'll find a not-too-strenuous means of celebrating my new status on AutoPuzzles today  :snooze:

Congrats, Zerk. That was very quickly done...and very well, I might add.
I suggest that you celebrate your status by monitoring the Top Speed Shootout (Land Speed Racing event) which will be covered sorta live my yers truly (photos) and a gent who's known as Seldom Seen Slim (that was the moniker of an early 20th-century resident of Death Valley) otherwise known as Jon Wennerberg. We'll be posting photos and commentary to a website that's linked at the top of the site in my profile. I'll also add a link in the Racing section.
Again, congratulations. By this accomplishment you'll at least give me a shot at some of the puzzles when they hit Expert status. ;D
Take it easy on the popcorn and have a great day.

Thanks Ray! At first I didn't think I'd get here. Now I'm looking back wistfully at the easier pickins in the Rookie Forum. And I'd just figured out one of Otto P.'s tantalizing puzzles there...
It's a looong way to 200. Time to slow down and hopefully figure out how to post my own puzzles.
Thanks for pointing out the link to the Top Speed Shootout, gonna try to check it out.
