Here's a somewhat chaotic scene.
For a point, can you identify the make of the cars (they are all the same), and where and when the photo was taken.
I may also give extra points if you can name any of the goats, but I will need documented evidence to support your answer! ;D

They are Isotta Fraschinis, Tipo B, 28/35hp? at the 1906 Targa Florio.
I'm tempted to say that it could hardly be anything else other than the Targa Florio, given the background in the photo, but I suppose that's not strictly true.
However, the year is wrong. Find the correct one and the point is yours.

1907 is right - well done.
After posting this puzzle I found a website dedicated to the history of the Targa Florio which says that this photo is from 1906, but it's a mistake. If you check the results, there were no Isotta-Fraschinis in the 1906 race.
I-F entered four cars in 1907, numbered 7a to 7d, and achieved 7th, 9th and 10th places. 7a did not finish.
Here's the unmodified photo. The numbers would have given it away too easily!
