I think erbas has got it. It is the so called "Einheits-PKW", produced during WWII for  the german troops by  Stoewer, BMW and Hanomag.

Maybe you can open this pic from the site:

this is a Stoewer that survived in Germany:

That is it...Since I can't access that site, does erbas get the points?

I can't even access <<< link removed >>> My guess is that some word in the meta tag like "paramilitary" or something is raising a red flag...(no pun intended!)

What I like in these quizzes is that they usually do not become off topic.

I must admit that the home page <<< link removed >>> (the very first one) may offend some of you guys in the US. This is not what I intended to do as this is a car quiz, nothing else.

The link in my IE-favorites is <<< link removed >>> which goes directly to CARS which is our topic.

Of course, selecting such an object is always a bit risky but in this case the contents of the homepage mentioned do not even cover the WWII topic.

Give erbas the points.

No offense.

My problem is that I am at work and they have filters in place that don't like that particular site for some reason.

If someone gets offended it is their problem not yours.

Yes, it's a Stoewer Typ 40

Have some patience, please. This site is my hobby - I also have a family, and work long hours.

This topic should be merged with this one, as Typ 40 is the Stoewer designation for the "Leichter Einheits-Pkw" (LEPkw): http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=1523.0
