Turning now to a single-seater racing car - identify the name, year and series this car would have competed in.

It does look very much as if it's air-cooled FWD, and the photo looks very early-50s. I'm pretty sure it's Panhard -powered and taking part in the short-lived Monomill series which was for 850cc cars.

The OP hasn't replied to two guesses. Was it a one-off?

It is Panhard-based and it did compete in the 1950 but not in the early part of that decade.
I don't know if it was a 'one-off' but it's possible that others were built.

Yes, it's a Panhard-based Formula Junior of 1959 but it has a name......
