That's it! Locked for you to come up with the rest of the information

So far I couldn't find any car that matches to 100%. The most similar is a conversion made by Barou on a Delahaye 235.  :-\

This was a one-off built by, I believe, a private individual rather than a coachbuilding firm. The chassis is much older than the body.

Un-lock it please. I'm not close enough I'm afraid.

The chassis should be a 135S.

Correct!
It's a Delahaye 135S with body by XXXX

I believe this is Delahaye 135S, chassis no: 801581 built for M. Baylet, owner of the journal "La Depeche de Toulouse". Coachbuilder was Vanvooren of Courbevoie in 1950.
Two 135s were constructed for him by Vanvooren, the other one being 801621 with a different front.
M. Baylet was unfortunately killed in an accident with this car which was destroyed.

I was too quick to reply before but I think I now have the answer -

Delahaye 135S of 1936 that was raced in original roadster form at the 1936 Donington Grand Prix by Rene Le Begue and Kaye Don.

In around 1952/53 body was replaced by coupe coachwork constructed in Duralinox by Henry Molla of Dijon.
The car retained all its original features including the 3557cc straight-six engine fed by three Solex carbs.
Prior to this transformation this Delahaye carried a two-seater cabriolet body by Figoni et Falaschi.

The car was due to be auctioned by Christie's at their auction on 7 December 2004.

Perfect answer, there is nothing I can add to that except that I hope this bodywork is preserved and fitted to a chassis after the inevitable 'restoration' of this car with a replica F&F body etc..

I think this was quite a hard one as I couldn't find any information about it on the net, Only that picture, so well done!

Well I thought it would be easy as it was covered in a very well-known magazine a few years ago, but when I searched for info on the web I realised how little there has been written about it! Unless you have that magazine and you know where to look I guess you'd have no chance of solving it...

Finally found the car, the pic says it's a Delahaye 135MS Berlinette from 1948. I do have some doubts about the year though... would be nice to see a full pic of the car

I was pretty sure we'd had it too but couldn't find it.
I have now and it answers mekubb's question too!

Have therefore merged it.
