Year and marque, plus the racing formula it was designed to compete in for a point

Sorry to upset the apple cart but shouldn't this be a 1959 Bandini FJ.
If you read the advert I'm sure that Rudy Pas would know what he had in his showroom.
I can supply further proof and comparisons to a Stanguellini FJ if necessary.

Take away my point please.  My identification was just plain wrong!

Sorry D-Type, I don't want that to happen but I'm sure Barrett will sort it out.
All I wanted to do was to point out the identity as I understand it.

No problem!  I got it wrong so shouldn't get a point (which suits me fine as its one more until I end up in the desert with the pros)

The thought process went
"Is that a Stanguellini ?
I don't think so, it doesn't look quite 'right'.
What was its main opponent in Formula Junior?
Can't remember.
Let's have a stab at Stanguellini anyway"

And that type of thinking does not deserve a point.

I have to point out here that the Italians were not exactly thinking "outside the box" when FJ was introduced. Look at the Taraschi, Volpini etc.. Identikit cars. You were not alone - only Duncan Rabagliati would know them all.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia
