Title: Dirty Fun #567 - 1968 Olds 442 w/Toronado Drivetrain by Dave Landrith
Post by: Otto Puzzell on December 07, 2013, 04:47:40 AM
For one point: what is it, and who built it?

Only a correct, complete and specific answer will earn a point; tag-on's to other guesses will not. So, be specific and complete!

You'll need to provide a bit more detail, in order to score the point. There's more than an engine in the picture.

I take it the engine isn't mounted into the vehicle the manufacturer intended it to go into?

Its a 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 with a transplanted 455 cu in Oldsmobile engine and front wheel drive transmission from a 1968 Oldsmobile Toronado.

It was built in 1968 by Dave Landrith of Hurst Performance Reserch in Detroit for the use of his boss, George Hurst .

I have a GMC motorhome with the same powertrain. :)
