You even got the event right ! He built the car in 1952 with a tuned Riley engine to the existing F2 regulations (2-litre) and intended to fit 1100cc and 1500cc engines to suit other events. It was raced extensively in British F1,F2 and Libre events throughout the 50s, although never competitive.

I've just realised you didn't give me the make of engine, but I gave the game away in my next post. Hey ho.

:sigh:  Sorry - I should have read the question.   (I was so surprised to find the same picture in one of my books that I put down the caption data without chacking what you were asking for.)
