Who knows this racing car?

I wonder how the pilot could handle so an enormous s.wheels! German (racing truck)?

grobmotorix

I think you´ve got to think exactly in the other direction:

if it was NOT that big he would not be able to turn the wheel at all.

Steering wheels only are that small today, because they are power assisted.

On old tractors and trucks, which have heavy weight on the steering axles always have huge steering wheels.

targhediferro

Yes I know, but don't you think this one is really enormous, and particularly high?

Better start trying to solve this. British ?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Sorry.

It is not german and not british.

But to help you:  it is european.

spider murphy

It's a Motobloc from France.

grobmotorix

LOCKED for you!

Do you have a name/year?

spider murphy

Sorry Grobmotorix,

I tried to figure out the licenseplate of the car and I tried to figure out the name on the hood of the car, but without success.
I don't have a clue so I can only guess.
Year: 1908
Model: 12 HP

I would advice you to open the puzzle again for everybody.

It is indeed a 12HP Motobloc!

The year I have is 1912, but I think you´ve deserved this point.

The license plate was: FX*CH*2

nicanary

I guessed 1912 too - there is very little information on their racing activities, but they entered cars in the 1912 Boulogne Speed Trials, and I feel this puzzle car may be one of those.
