An 'ordinary' automobile, but this picture tells a story...

For one point: In what geography would this car be seen? And who owned it? And -since this is AutoPuzzles - what kind of car is it?

Only a correct, complete and specific answer will earn a point; tag-on's to other guesses will not. So, be specific and complete!

The car is easy enough to identify, it's a late 20's La Salle. Was the photo taken in Asia, somewhere?

This photo was taken in Wichita, circa 1929. This is the text I found attached to this photo;

"View of chauffeur inspecting a LaSalle automobile owned by John and Adeline Petrie. Note the "Wichita, the Air Capital" medallion mounted on the grille. Wichita adopted the Air Capital slogan in 1928. The logo was introduced to boost pride in the city after a contest sponsored by Kiwanis. Chamber of Commerce member who signed a safe-driving pledge received medallions for their automobiles. The Petries owned a local clothing store that bore their name."
