That's the one. I have it as a Fiat 1100/103 by Accossato during the 1953 MM, but surely it's the same car. A point for you.

Paul Jaray

This car is pictured in Curami's book, pag.78 under the Avalle entry...but the caption says: 'Fiat1100\103 bodied by Accossato at the 1953 edition of the Mille Miglia, driven by Novaria-Tesio'. In the text, there is not a single line about that Fiat, Accossato or those drivers and it ends saying that Mario Avalle was going to drive a barchetta by Moretti in 1952, but the death of his brother made him quit.
In the entry about Moretti, there's a pic of a Barchetta with the following caption: 'Moretti 600 at the 1952 Mille Miglia with Avalle-Tesio'
I think that the 2 pics have been switched and this one is a Moretti by Accossato...the badge seems to be right.

That's an interesting topic... I don't have the book... can you post a scan of these pages?

Yes... I agree with your guess...
So the first car should be a Moretti with Accossato body? Maybe a Moretti 750?

But in the Mille Miglia car list (from the MM site) there are:
- AVALLE - Fiat 1100/103 berlinetta Accossato: 1953, S, <1100
- MORETTI - 750 S: 1952,1953, S, <750
- MORETTI - 750 S berlina: 1953, S, <750
