This has several elements of the 64 GM-X Stiletto, is it a Pontiac version?

Could this be a predesesor of the 1977 Pontiac Phantom by William Mitchell?
I keep finding images that are close but not exact matches.

That's because it should be spelt "Scorpion" hence never showed up in the search I did...
I didn't think to try Scorpian as have never seen the word!

This car has appeared on AP before but it hasn't actually had its own puzzle.
So what is it and from when does it date - for 1 point?:

Actually you're right and if I'd realised I wouldn't have moved it up to the Experts..  I've even re-posted it myself before... D'oh!
I said in my initial post that this car has appeared before but I said not as its own puzzle.  I was wrong, as searching for "Pontiac Scorpion" did not produce the original puzzle (it still doesn't - I just tried..) but searching for "Pontiac XP-758" does produce the puzzle with which I have now merged mine (again..).
