Tell me, what's the name of this car?
None. Other than it looks a bit like one ;)
Easy for experts?
kit car?
Challenger E-type
Not a Challenger ...
It is MX-5 based?
i was sure they were mx-5 doors - out of ideas now for the moment ???
Ginetta G32 with modified bonnet
I don't think you mean G32. In any case, it's not a Ginetta ...
JPR Wildcat
Easy-peasy pro pickings ...
Challenger?
Jag based?
Not a Challenger ... and not Jag-based ...
This puzzle is readily solvable... ;)
This car is made by Cheetah Cars, in Auckland and it is Holden Kingswood based.
Indeed it is! (apparently 9 were produced)
What's this and what is it based on, for 1 point?:

Experts?
We recently had the worst D-Type replica I've ever seen - now we get the worst E-type ! That's a shocker.
Is it a JPR Wildcat ?
(PS I just tried to PM you but the link failed - are the photos going to be reintroduced in the index? I haven't bookmarked any pages so I'm in the mire !)

It's not a Wildcat, no. It's worse..!
Thumbnails should be back before too long - it's being worked on!
Is this a smaller than full size replica, eg 3/4 full size?

Crikey, I don't think I can answer that!
It's not the same dimensions as an E-type but not sure in what way it differs.
Well I can tell the base car is an MX-5, the question is what make and why would you do that to a mazda?
If it IS based on an MX5 then it is about 4/5th scale! Is it a commercial kit-car or a one-off ?
It's not MX5 based.

It's not smaller than an E-Type!
I certainly agree that it takes the prize for the ugliest E-type ever. It's actually from Down Under (New Zealand, to be exact) and it was built over 1990-1991 by a fellow called Grant Loch. He named it the Cheetah, and it was built on a Holden HQ base.
Yikes.

Yes, the Cheetah it is, based on the Holden Headquarters..
Apparently 9 of these were made!
another view:
The side view doesn't offend quite as badly, but even the newest E-Type enthusiast can tell that something's not quite right. Still and all, you have to respect the effort and engineering that went into creating it. If this is what the builder wanted, he got it.

Thanks.
I've merged them.
The AP search for "Cheetah" didn't show that result at all!!
I found it there...but I've noticed that now in the results you can't view the topic title and it's highly harder like that...but I have to check the settings and probably it can be fixed.
