Moving to the hole.

The car from which #5 comes is socked away in the solved puzzles section  ;)

Perhaps the pattern of my clues is not clear.

Here's another - #5 is not from a Toyota Highlander

I can't seem to give away point. Let's try a bigger mallet:

Well, if it's not a Highland sock pattern, then I'd guess it might be an Argyll, and chassis #5 is an Argyll Turbo GT.

 :faint:

It seems that was a lot harder then I thought it would be. My mind boggles, when I think of the clues I'll have to concoct for the remaining chassis.  :D

One was 'a car for everywhere'

One offered 'luxury coachcraft in the modern manner'

One was 'a very comfortable and convenient car'

  • NameTheFrame #7 - pre-dates the Great War.

  • NameTheFrame #8   from a defunct brand of a company that still builds and sells cars and trucks.

  • NameTheFrame #9   from the oldest of the out-of-business US 'independent' manufacturers.

A Duryea?

Studebaker (guessed by Wendax) predated Duryea, albeit making wagons before they made automobiles.
