I just did a little research on that name and about 99% sure he is correct.
Now the mystery appears to be solved and I can add another car to my list of worlds mid engined cars.

Die auf die Restaurierung britischer Sportwagen spezialisierte Hieber Automobile GmbH, gegründet 1985 in Anzing bei München, präsentierte 1990 einen Hieber Piola genannten Sportwagen, der eine verbreiterte und individualisierte Version des Lotus Esprit darstellte. Der von den Hieber-Technikern abgestimmte V8-Motor von Ford hatte 5,0 Liter Hubraum und je nach Tuning 200 bis 400 PS. Der Preis des ab April 1992 lieferbaren Wagens betrug in der Grundversion 64.582 DM.
