So that'll be New Zealand, then. Such a small country, yet so popular for puzzle-setters !

The perforated steel wheels had me thinking it was BMW 328-based, but the bonnet line is too low. Is it a Ford special ?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

SACO

Yes ,Ford special from New Zealand !
Locked for you !

There's a lack of information on motor sport in NZ for the period around 1945/55. I can't find much at all. Is it Gordon Brown in his 1172cc Brown Special ?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

1 point for you !

Carnut

This car was known as the G B Special and whilst it had a Ford 10 engine it also had a Hillman gearbox and parts from a Wolseley 12, Singer 9 and Willys Jeep!  A real Bitsa...

Here's another picture of the car plus one of Gordon Brown himself celebrating his 100th birthday on 28th December 2015!
Apparently he's hoping to track down his GBS Special; maybe he wants to buy it back!
