I am probably way off here, but the car does have some ID characteristics of the coachbuilder Boneschi.
I have so far been unable to find this exact car, however.

If not that firm, at least we can eliminate one other possibility.

Saco,
Are you sure about your source?
I did some more research on this one and found two pictures of what must be the same car entered as Trasformabile Touring su Lancia Aprilia at the " Concorso d'eleganza di Torino" in May 1938. On top of that the reversed door handle is typical Touring. The pictures are on a normally quite reliable period magazine.

Have you a picture of this car ?

I am not in the place now where I have the magazines with the two pictures I mentioned. Also the magazines are bound in volumes and difficult to scan. I'll see what I can do in the next few days. Just for your info the pictures are on Motor Italia.

If it's indeed Touring, point should go to Jean Marie H, who was the first to mention the name..I just wanted to confirm.

I think Jean-Marie H reason : it is indeed a Touring body, even if the hubcaps are different between the two pictures and the decorative strips on the flanges of the rear wheels.

I know You locked for Hiawatha the chance to post the pictures from Motor Italia he mentioned before, but He asked me to do it because he has some problems to scanner the pictures.  So, here you are the two photos of the quiz car, pictured on page 40 of Motor Italia, May 1938.
