Toyota AXV show car. Another entry from the 1985 Tokyo Motorshow.

The Advanced Experimental Vehicle was another try at making a car with two door on the walkaway side and one on the other. Moreover, it was very light (650 kilos), with a lot of GRP materials (bonnet, roof and even rear suspension arms and rims !), and used a 3-cylinder 1.1 liter turbocharged engine, that was a direct-injection diesel.

Very unusual for a japanese concept-car, as they banned very early on these type of engines.
