Not designed by Porsche. I guess it dates from the late 1960s early 1970s. I have not an exact year.

Bertone did some work for the VW Group, like parts of the Audi 50 and 80,so could it be by him.

Baur?
Actually I don't know who built that model. So it could have been Karmann as well, though I doubt that.
I only know the designer and what it was supposed to be.

Not Baur as far as I know. I don't know at which coachbuilder's workshop this model was built.

It's not a Porsche.

An early Ital Design attempt before the golf
wingroad was closest so far though he headed in the wrong direction geographically.

Unfortunately I don't have the Catalogue Raisonnée of Lepoix's work. Was it a design for a Typ 3 (1500 / 1600) successor?

No. It's easier, though it's hard to see from the look of this car...

BTW: I've purchased the Lepoix book just a month ago for € 49,- wihich I felt was a good price. Now you get it on Amazon.de for € 25,- only.. >:(

Then it has to be a design for a beetle successor.

Yes, that's it.

Amongst many others L.L. Lepoix was also invited to find an innovative new design/layout for the Beetle resp. a possible Beetle* successor. This was one of the few that made it to a 1:1 scale stage.

*The name 'Golf' was launched much later.
