Hope I'm a bit more lucky with this anniversary puzzle than my competitors.

An old racing car, long forgotten..

I only need a name and an approx. year and the point is yours...

BEFIATA 1948

It was Fiat based

The pilot was Roman Belz

Correct. It was equipped with a supercharged Topolino engine with Siata head. Total weight was 325 kg and top speed was ~160 km/h. Unfortunatly it wasn't successful during its short racing career.
