Intend to look like a Maserati Birdcage, but not a real one. But it looks quite nice, so I guess there is a Maserati engine and/or chassis underneath from a road car. Good starting point ?

Finally found it, Maserati Special Sports racer from 1972 based on a Maserati Indy, body by Ambro. Auctioned last year but not sold at $ 150.000
