Polski-Fiat 508/518. The hinged spare wheels prevented the chassis from touching the ground in rough terrain.

To finish Ropat's correct identification, this is a telephone maintenance truck.
Perhaps one of a very few....

it has something in common with Fiat but I have different name for it

ropat53

Maybe the name you are looking for is PZInż 302 that was a variant of Polski Fiat 508/518.

Bill Murray

I do not want in any way to step on Ropat's toes but I can add some more here that may help.

The manufacturer, as Ropat states, was called PZInz and I cannot translate that well but sort of "Polish Manufacturing Company" is a good approximation.

The field car versions, "Jeep type" bucket seat vehicles, were variously identified as "Polski Fiat 508/IIIW" and  later with a larger motor, "Polski Fiat 518/T".

As I understand the Google translation of Polish, the field cars were called "Lazik", and the truck versions such as the telephone truck in the puzzle photo, were called "Mazur".

I am not looking for a point here, just trying to clear up the puzzle as best I can with what I know.

I too would like to add something.
Mazur should be the equivalent of Italian Fiat 518 Ardita (a large car, also made by PZInz as a military command-car with open body, sometimes in canvas).
IMO, the car in the photo is indeed a 508/518 Lazik, a hybrid vehicle with the body of the smaller 508 and the mechanics of the bigger 518.

Hopefully del78 will answer you.

I note there are still 42 replies to his mass postings remaining for him to answer, despite the fact he has been on the site several times since those answers were posted..

it was constructed mostly by ing Mieczyslaw Skwierczynski and build by
PZInż build about 300-400 of this truck in very different versions
