JOHN CROSSLE  in  the first Crossle  he built  in 1957 , though the photo may have been taken in 1958

It helps to be a local! Absolutely correct. I must admit I have lost my notes which gave more details, but I think this photo was taken at his very first event, a hillcimb, in 1957.
