I don't actually know that either for certain, though I think it is based on something very well-known.
All I know for sure is its name and when it was said to have been built, although I'm pretty sure the build date refers to the original chassis on which this is based as it is much older than it looks.

Was it for sale recently ?

Looks like the front was made for Peugeot 206 headlights, so I guess it was built after 1998 and, well, before 2005 ?

You're probably right, but I don't know when this body was built; the only date I have refers to the original car/chassis on which it is based.

Ah Ha. Just looking through my kit car reference files to identify the RPB GT, I think have just found a small reference to this one, so somebody up there must like me!  ;)

It seems to be a one-off Scottish mid-engined GT, using Bedford CF II real lights, and named Circa, from what I can make out.

Very good, that's exactly what it is, although the name is the Circa ******* so I'll lock it for you to come up with the full name.
And whilst you're doing that you can enjoy looking at its rear-end:

Thanks for the rear end shot Carnut.  The paper in my kit car folder only refers to this as a Circa GT, but last night I found on-line that confusingly it is referred to as Speedster, which seems an on name for a closed-top coupe.  So, I guess Circa Speedster it is..!

Quite so!
They need a dictionary for Christmas...!
Since this car was amongst lots of Triumphs in the pictures I wondered if it was Triumph-based.  I can't think of any mid-engined Triumphs so maybe it was a back to front GT6 or something!

Here's the original puzzle picture pre-modifications:

I do have a front view - will post when I am back home & here it is. It's by Terry Smith and is very professionally done - as you can appreciate from the fact that it was wind tunnel-tested.

Interesting.
It seems to have undergone a few changes so I won't merge them unless puzzlers think I should?

Do you know the year of this car is made ? before 2007 l guess?
what engine is it used if you know ?
thanks for reply

Carnut

I've decided that since it is clearly the same car it should be merged!

so...any idea about year and engine? ;D

Carnut

No idea, sorry.
If you can't find it on the Internet I've no idea where you would find it.
I'll ask Djetset next time I see him and see if he knows any more about it.
